I've been a travel agent since 2004. I consult and give the best advise possible for your vacation desires. My research is extensive because I am determined my clients receive the type of service I expect to get when I'm paying my money. I will not suggest accommodations to a hotel, or vacation rental that I have not extensively researched to ensure my clients are in a clean, safe and comfortable environment.

If I am requested to look for accommodations, flights, cruises, etc., my fee is a non-refundable $100 charged to the requesting client. This allows me to utilize my time to do the best for my client and ensure that if the client decides to take the information I've extensively researched for, and completes the transaction from my work on their own, I will not have worked in vein. If the request is to assist in finding accommodations for a large group, my fee will be up to $150 per person. That fee will be built into their per person rate for the accommodations, or vacation rentals, or transportation, etc. However, the actual client will only pay the initial $100, and I will start the research at that time.

I market my trips, tours, travels, etc., mostly through facebook to the public, rather than just to my "friends". I also have other marketing strategies to get the word out, such as an email list of past clients, about trips, tours, etc., that may be of interest to them.
